I just checked the compression on my kx500 and it was showing less than 90 psi, but i cant tell if i screw the gauge all the on because of clearance issues. Would the bike even run good with that low of compression. Whats my options, chaeaper being better ? new cylinder and rings or what ? Maybe this is the reason the the bike dont seem as fast as i thought it would. What i dont get is the bike seems to have fairly low miles because it still has the original factory stock reeds, brake pads, etc and all are in excellent condition. Could anything give me a faulty reading ?? thanks guys.

You do really need to find out if you are reading the compression correctly. If it is that low you needs at least rings! :-( :-( :-(

Wheres the best place to order rings online ? Any suggestions on what brand or anything ?
