Title: Looking to buy a 93 KX500 - What should I be aware of?
Post by: JBKX on March 23, 2007, 11:46:42 AM
What problems should I look for on a 93 KX500?  What are the main differences from the 93 to the newer KX500s?  I have spare front and rear wheel sets for a 98 KX250, will these fit on the 93 500??  I will be changing both fenders if I buy this bike, what year of KX250 fenders should I use?  What is a fair price to pay?  It sounds like a solid old bike however I haven't seen it yet.  Any info. is appreciated.

going thru a 93 right now, the wheels...no good, changed to a bigger axle and spokes in 94, the fenders you can pretty much use any you want, my 01' fenders fit fine, the back one took a little adjustment but no problem. got mine for 1300, ran fine, but needed a little refreshment. haven't found to much problem finding what I need for it....good luck!

you should be able to use the rear wheel with the spacers from the 93 k5. you can change the front wheel bearings to fit your axle. <i`m not sure about fenders
