 I saw it on ebay and I had to have it! Hello to all members. I haven't ridden a dirtbike in 15 years. I had a couple of 125s a CR and an RM. The last bike I had was a ZX10 in 92. But now, I got a 2002 KX500! It came with; BRP steering damper, Pro taper bars, Rad valve, FMF Gnarly, Race Tec Suspension and Cyrus bark busters plus some unused gear for $2700. Over all the bike looks nice very clean. But, the back fender was cracked and sewn back together with zip ties and the bars feel a little narrow. I couldn't wait until tomorrow for racing gas so I put some 92 in there and fired it up. I kikt about 15 times until started to turn over. Then I choked it and it started right up. The temp here in Nebraska was about 34F and the elevation is 1000'. It was a little boggy and wouldn't idle long with lots of smoke. When I revved it a little it cleared up. Mixed at 40:1. I didn't run it very long because it was dark and I didn't want to make the neighbors angry so it never got warmed up. The bike came from Florida, warm and sea level. I'm a pilot, 37, and married with 2 kids. I plan to do some trail riding nothing serious. I'm a noob so any recommendations or advice is welcome. Cool site!!

:-o Rode it for the first time today. I am surprised at how easy it lifted the front wheel even with me on the tank.

Rotating the right hand produces pretty much the same result as pulling back the yoke, you look up!!! Have fun with the new bike.
