Title: '90 Rear axle nut & washer

Does the rear axle nut on a '90 have a shoulder at the base - mine doesn't?  How thick is the separate washer?  '90/'91 use a cotter pin to retain the nut (castellated nut - think tie-rod ends) and the cotter pin hole in my axle is ~1/8" outboard of the nut so there is no engagement of the cotter pin what-so-ever.  I'm thinking somebody swapped the nut with an off the shelf castellated nut.  Will a later model 'locking' rear axle nut work on my '90?

just drill another hole in axle.                                                                                              Freestyle111
