hi all, i think i am getting abit of water seepage into the oil my question is if i get the kit is it a easy job to replace the seals in the water pump thanks for any help :-D

What year bike do you have? It varies from year to year, but most are pretty simple. You take off the impeller and remove the seal directly behind it. But, this is going to depend on the year. 125 or 250 too.

its a 04 250 i would prefer to do it myself to save $ and to learn more

Hey , green pilot ,just curious why you think the seal is a problem. I also have an 04
and many times while riding my sight glass will have a milky film on it. When I drain the oil however, it looks fine , any similarities in the symptoms? Newbie - JT

I had this happen on my 96 250 and was easy to see and fix. Sometimes the sight glass looks that way because of heat I think, JT. It was an easy fix, jus like Gowen said. It is easy to see water in the oil when drained. So if it is happening, the first few seconds its green then changes to oil. You can fix it easy.

I get some condesation on my sight glass I'm sure that's normal when you get water in your oil It will come out all thick and creamy looking and cream colored. Are you loosing water when you check your radiator 04 seem's kind of new to be loosing a pump seal but anything Is possible.
