I've got a '01 with a yellow rear spring, and a '99 with a purple one....is this just a color thing?...or is there a strength thing kinda color coded action goin on here? anybody know of such a thing? cause the yellow one on the '01 looks bigger diameter, but it could just be a delusion...thanx for any help in this matter. my big @$$ could use any help back there it can get :-D

Don't quote me on this but I think it's just a color change for each year. My 99' has a purple spring and my 450 has a graphite colored spring. I do know that different spring rates come in different colors but it might just be for the manufacturer to know which spring is which.

No color code action going on, there are purple springs rated at 5.2 and purple springs rated at 4.6, no correlation of color to rate. Whatever the designers felt looks good with graphics and plastic, thats what color the spring is

cool...thanx, I was wondering if I should change them out. but forget about it...the purple one works fine
