Is there a difference in the Delta 2 vs 3. Is one better. Or even a Boyseen Rad valve. I will be doing woods riding. Plan on getting a gnarly pipe and heavier flywheel. Have a stock 89 cylinder.
thanks

Well the V3 is an improvement over the V2. But I don't beleive they make it for a 500. Havn't seen one listed yet. I have a RAD valve on my KX. Works great. But I initially went through three sets of reeds in the first season using it. I guess Boyesen got tired of me calling so they finally sent me a decent set. Been using them since.

Which is better? the Boyesen rad valve or the V2?

Well I don't have a back to back comparison for a KX. But I use a VF on my CR. I couldn't tell a difference in how the both of them worked. They both felt really good once installed and broadened the power of each. But my VF has been bullet proof. Don't have a single negative comment against it. I'd buy a VF for the Kawi next time myself. If that tells you anything.

ahh well if they don't make V3 then that would answer my question wouldn't it.
Thanks guys - my lack of research - if I find out otherwise I'll let you know

i have actually spoke to the manufacture on this about 2 years ago. the only reason they even offer the V2 is because they are popular on snowmobiles and the k5 shares simmilar dimms w/ a snowmobile (i dont remember witch one)

You can use the KX250 V-force 3....
I got one and will try it soon at dyno and report difference to V-force 2. :-D
-
what are the physical size difference between the v2 for the k5 amd the v 3 for the 250?

Nothing, only better without any bolts/screw holding reeds only snapp`on!
Intake some different hole, more round than oval as VF2.
You can use JBweld (plastic)to make a good passing of fuel/air-mix from stock intake- boot to Vforce!
I can show pics of that later....

cool! it looks like i am asking for a V3 for x-mas! (or to be more accurate i will order one right after the holidya) :-D

the V3 has more volocity. and it narrower. so you could stuff the intake.
