My '03 KX250 clutch makes a bit of a "rumbling" noise when I let the
clutch out in neutral.
I just bought it used and do not know if this is a "normal" sound or not?
Also the clutch drags a bit when the motor is hot (not too badly) but I thought
it might be worth mentioning since it might be related to the noise.
Any input appreciated.

dang Sharky..are we ever gonna get to ride these things? :-D

hehe, took it out last night for a good burn.... busted foot and all. I just took is easy
around right hand turns so I didnt have to put the foot out :-D
It rips .... I'm going to put a 14 on the front (sprocket) and see if it's any smoother, it's a
bit abrupt right now (13 / 49)
anyhow after about 20 30 miutes (thats how long it took me to tire out :-P ) I noticed
the clutch thing.... just got me wondering (read worried)

did ya pull off the cover and check out the discs?
-
no not yet.... I was hoping one of you guys would say "Heck.... no thats totally normal.. don't sweat it" :-D
I'll pull it this weekend and check it out. I think the clutch plates are fried, lots of black / Sliver
"dust" floating (looked like graphite) in the oil when I changed it.... coulda been the type/brand of
oil. I have no idea what he used..... I'll see if the new oil I put in it comes out clean on Saturday.
