This is my new dust collector I won last weekend in the 500 beg. class. I've raced three races with this bike and havent finished lower than 6th. Each time I had the oldest bike on the line. 500's kick a$$. My first race I hole shot with a worn rear tire and a new yz450 on one side and a cr450 on the other side of me. That was in the vet beg. class. I did get passed by two yz450's late in the race to finish third :( but hay, thats why I race in the beg class. Next weekend I'll be racing in the vet novice class. we'll see how the old KX and me  do. Hope I dont get last. :) (http://images.fotopic.net/?id=588233&outx=600&oq=0)

Awesome...and congrats! :D What were you running, and enduro or MX or what? By the way, that graphics kit looks great. I have to tell you though, you don't know old until you ride my '87...and it can still roost the new thumpers pretty good too. Bwahahahaha!

Glad to hear you are doing well on the mighty KX500. I have a 1994 KX500 that I race motocross every weekend here in western NY. I race Senior B, +25B, Open Am, or the Vintage (5 years and older) classes. I never feel I am at a disadvantage being on an older bike. It is kinda nice going down to the line KNOWING that I will get the holeshot...
I have a 2001 Yamaha 426 (for sale), but I like the 500 better! My 250/450 friends think I am crazy though...
