Hi everybody,
I just joined kxriders and i think it's a wonderful site.
Maybe that's because it's the only KX500 site around
Anyway, you can see my '97 KX500 here:
http://www.kxriders.com/coppermine/index.php?cat=10893
I only have 2 pics at the moment, because the bike is 'under construction' at the moment.
Things that need to be changed:
#1) frame black instead of purple
#2) footpegs black instead of gold
#3) mounting the lights
#4) 1 radiator needs to be replaced
#5) and maybe the wheels in black instead of gold
The bike has been racing off-road at first, later as supermotard.
And now i'm going to bring it on the road.
It has road-legal documents but has never been registered yet.
The bike has got a KX250 kit, which gives it a modern look.
I'll post more pictures soon.

Welcome! :-D :-D :-D

I like what you have going on. I want to street my K5 not to ride on the street all the time but make it so I can ride from the State Park to the trail head with out getting busted. Plus the lights in case I'm out on the trail when it gets dark. Please keep us posted.

By the looks of it there you have done a lot more than your letting on for, the plastics aren't off a 500 are they?
What tank is it that you have there?

Good stuff, keep the pics coming.

No, this picture is taken the day after i bought it, so it was like this.
The tank is made out of polyester and it's a product of Jadoul motosport.
The company is in Belgium, where i live. They also make aluminium tanks.
The rest of the changes were also done by Jadoul.
As far as i know it costs about ?750 / ?500 / $950.
The subframe has been cut and welded to fit the new plastic covers and the new seat.
I think the plastics and seat are from a '99 KX250.
I've added a close up picture of the tank in my album.
Check it out.

Oh i forgot to mention that the son, Didier Jadoul, is also an experienced monobike, supermotard, endurance and road racer.
I've added a few pictures in my album.
Two pics on a KX500 monobike and two pics on a KX 450 F supermotard.
