I see that one of you older bikes has some newer style foot pegs. Just would like to know what you did to mount them on the bike. maybe more photo's of the pegs.
Sick looking bikes dude..

Sweet looking bikes. Nice to see them restored so nice.
-
The RM500. I remember dreaming of owning one of those. I'd still buy one in a heartbeat if I saw one around here. I'd even pay a pretty penny for it as they are extremely rare.

Looks like one of the kx420 has the IMS pegs. If so can you post some pictures of the peg and bracket and maybe a little info on what you had to do to get them fitted on the older bike. Thanks.

I heard a rumour that Suzuki made a watercooled, counterbalanced prototype engine during the 80s that some of the factory riders tested but it weighed an extra 15 pounds or so and was a bit of a beast in the power stakes.
To fast and too heavy.

Wow, those are sweet bikes. I never even knew Suzuki ever made a 500.
-
That's a hell of a good looking RM you have there.

My brother still has his '83 Husky 500XC. It's just as clean as the 250 pictured. My favorite still has to be the late '82 Husky 500CR Silver Streak!

Sly, your bike comes very close to my other dream bike. I've always wanted a RM500, but would give my back teeth for an '88 RM250. Both are my top picks over any other bikes. I'm totally with you, I have a thing for older bikes too.
-
I like old bikes too but I think some of it is wanting to relive the glory days. My vote for prettiest old bike would be the 1978 Husqavarna 390. All black and gold with gold rims, sweet. That RM500 is something else. Cam.

I dig that 84RM500 too !!! Thinkin' I might have to redo one for my coral...

How would you compare your RM500 to your KX500?

Years ago a mate had a 79 CB 900 Bol'd'dor. Weapon bike 4 into 1 exhaust. We got pissed up one night when we were camping up the lake and took it two up flat out round the shingle lake front. Like a shingle beach. Laugh.. good bike tho. It was our only transport for a year. communal. It got a good ol thrashing every time it was used and never missed a beat or let us down. Yep I like old bikes too.

That on on Ebay looks quite good condition for a bike that old.
Good stuff.

The RM500 on eBay was on Buy It Now for $699.... that's smokin. Dump $1000 into it and it would be too cool!
