Title: Autoclutch....
Post by: doordie on July 20, 2006, 09:03:18 PM
Soon I will start to devoloped a autoclutch with normaly clutchfunktion left.
I?m looking at a Rekluse and found out a combo from a another brand will
be a good start for this work.
A Rekluse guy helping me out here. :-o
But it?s gonna be difficult to get a "non" slippery clutch for 70hp! :-D
Many tungsteen balls instead of steel!!! 8-)

Doordie,
What do you think the advantage will be with the autoclutch?  I spent a day on a 300 with a recluse and the only advantage I could find was when stuck on an ugly, slippery hils. Let me know. Cam.

Cam!

I think it have many advantage, for examble:

Enduro/MX without stalling engine many times as I do saves energy.
More traction in wet condition, running higher gear than usually.
Calmer rear before turning without "hopping" backwheel when you
brake and smothier exit out of turn.

And for my iceroadracing the starts will be very smooth, running second
gear and no need of "feddering" clutchlever.Only to adjust power with
throttle!
No spinning wheel at exit of turn.

We will see....

The only adjustment I have found out now is modyfie "throw-out"
and put in heavier balls :-D

Your bike does seem to be a testbed for a few different things.

I spotted the carb in Gallery, is that a Lectron? Looks like it has a plastic float bowl and as I remember Lectrons have them. How does it compare to the Kehin?

Also the piston port looks interesting..

i  installed an auto clutch for a customer onece, thay are kind of wierd.
the customer loves it, it was on a KTM 525. i didnt care for it but he had one put on his new bike as well (i dont remember what it was i thin a 450)  if you are in tight trails i could see where this would come in handy
