So heres what it looks like: (OUCH)

This stuff is .125" thick Teflon gasket material I frequently use at my work. It posseses awesome wear an abrasion resistance. It's identicle to the UFO aftermarket chain buffer protectors:

I drilled a few holes, and used two short 3/16 rivets, and we should be good!
