Title: Suspension
Post by: serafin on May 18, 2006, 01:57:43 PM
Hi everyone

Does anyone know of a company that makes suspension linkage bolts that are drilled for grease fittings?  The thought of having to tear down and remove the swingarm just to grease this thing doesn't sound very fun.

It's easy to take them apart and grease them.  You only need to do it once a year.

On my bike the previous owner drilled and tapped the linkage for grease fittings.

Yep, I think that is a great idea! How about doing that to the swing arm as well? :-D

Alan,
I did that to my sons XR100.  Got the idea from my wifes XR200 which has grease nipples on the linkages and swingarm.  Here's some pics. Cam.

Nice job Cam! I think I will do that to my project bike! The best part about greasing them regularly is to keep the moisture out! If you keep them greased the bearings will never wear out! Wish I could say the same for my joints! :-D :-D He He!
