Here is the important information about the JaDoul KX500 tank, they responded to my email. US Capacity is 2.25 gallons
The tank is for a KX 500 and it's made with fibre the capacity is +/- 8,5 l
and the price is 450 US dollars TTC + Transport Price.

That looks great, I am doing it a different way, I bought SLATER SKINS, which are one piece side panels for the 99/01 250 kx. Covers the entire side of the bike, from the foot peg to the rear fender. Also bought a moose seat, fenders. So I can keep the tank, and pipe, but have a stylish up to date ride that will really stand out! Check out his web site. The manufacturing location is in Massachusetts,I think. yz mike

Hey Mike, how long until you will be able to post pics of your rig with the skins and such? I have seen the site, and they look kind of cool...just watch out for significant cross winds!

Has anybody ever purchased one of these? Is it worth $500+ dollars?

For that much money, it coming from out of the states and Im not sure how well a carbon fiber tank will hold up to off road use in the long run, plus it holds only a little more than 2 gallons Id only get it for SuperMotard use.For off road get the Ty Davis tank,it looks modern and has a lot going for it as far as function.

"carbon fiber"
Probably Fiber-glass tank, and not carbon-fiber

Nope, it's carbon fibre.
Well the one in the with that tank in Gallery sure looks like carbon fibre to me :)
Although 8.5 litres might be ok for a motard race it would be complete bollox for use on the road.
Nice looking but on the road about as much use as a chocolate fireguard IMO

I would stick to IMS or Clarke for the aftermarket tanks. These are proven solutions. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks for that information. I will be purchasing the tank shortly. I will post pics of the conversion.
