Title: top end leak

i just had my cylinder plated and i put it back together. new gasgets all around. my leak is around the head on all sides. i used manufac. torque specs on the head. any ideas?

Something sounds warped to me! You need to check have the cylinder and head checked for flatness with a dial indicator! :-o

Make sure you used loc-tite when you torqued the bolts down. I warped my head because I torqued them down and they came loose while riding. I'd torque them and loctite them again.

If you use a thinner headgasket than stock make sure studs isn?t to high in barrel.
I trimm around holes in cylinder head,make a "campher" or a "cone" in every hole in head.
This place head further down without "riding" on studs. :wink:

thanks for the input! sounds like loose bolts( i hope) as it got worse while riding. hope it isn't warped! -ken
