I haven't heard any riding stories lately! Is everyone hunkered down for the winter or overhauling the bike? :roll:

I haven't been riding since the last weekend in December. I lost the closest place I had to ride to Hurricane Rita, and the forrest trails have been closed since Jan. 25 due to excessive rain. :cry:

Rode yesterday. 3 hour burst at the Orari river bed with 3 mates. 40 miles of 1st 2nd 3rd gear stuff. 1 or 2 axle deep river crossings. Mostly just shallow creeks where the track criss cross the main stream. Even down here with high summer, its hard to find someone to go for a burn with cause there are a lot of people still on holidays out of town.

Sorry. No rides here, it's the middle of ski season. Ice races every weekend but I never find the time to race. Hey Tim, lots of Kiwis on holidays here skiing! Skied with a bunch today. Cam.

Ahh so thats where thy've gone ! A mate of mine was living over your way there for a couple of years. He would step out of his appartment and on to a bus and be at the Whistler in around 1/2 an hour. Reckoned it was brilloes. I'd much rather go there in the summer tho. Check out their mountain biking tracks.

So everybody seems to be busy doing other things or the weather sucks! I guess I shouldn't say Sucks, some of you all like that cold white stuff! It is in the high 60's to low 70's hear a bit windy but all an all good riding time of year. My problem is I am building my new shop and I just can't seem to get excited about anything else at the moment! I haven't had a place to work on my toys for the last 5 years and it has just about driven me nuts! Now that I can see the end of the project I just seem to focus more and more on getting it done! So the only thing I have been riding lately is my Kawie Mean Streak back and forth to work, not all that bad I suppose! That is why I ask the question, I hadn't seen any post on rides or races! :D

we had the bike out a couple weekends ago.some guys held a put together race 5.00 to run.first week was a all of a sudden call.bike ran flat and we when out early.tried jets,timing etc at the field but no luck.red bike took it all (i built that one also).next week i knew a little earlier and decided to check things.compress.
was good,started easy but power valve lever was not working.move with hand.took pipe off and it worked there,next came the cover and wha la.clip off primary gear off,gear chewed up nylon spur on gov.fixed it when to the field drew red bike and went thru neck and neck.flagmen looked at each other twice and gave the win to the red bike(guy is hometown favorite).this was with timing retarded.red bike motor is sitting on my porch.(too close for him).he is the man to beat in 400 ft drags.but they're in trouble this year!

If you checkout those latest rad mountain biking videos, a lot of them are shot in Kamloops, especialy the ones where they like dropping off big (30') sand cliffs. Got lots of those here. I just need to rebuild my rear shock, replace the pipe and when it gets warmer in March I'll be ready for some killer rides. Cam.

Some of those guys have the big clangers! Yeah I've got a few of the vids. I should post that one where the dude flies of the cliff and tries tp jump the pickup... OWCH !!

Ahh, riding!!! It's raining and cold, nothing worse than a cold rain. WHY NO SNOW!!! ok rant off. :-)
