backwards? how would that work?

The timing is off. I had a TS400 that would start backwards after a rain, talk about a surprise the first couple of times it did that. I learned quick to rev the piss out of it to see if it was running right. It would vibrate more than usual if it ran backwards

Might be an old dog (must be early 80s) but it's got to be worth a fiver :D

I'd like to pick up an old vintage KX, but I am not in the UK nor do I have the time. It looks like a promising machine though!

I restored a 1987 YZ490 about 5 years ago and it became an issue between do I ride or do I tinker! I love riding so that's what I decided to do! I even have most of the maintenance done by the dealer. To many toys and not enough time to play with them all!
Alan

Alan, a friend of mine has a 89 YZ490 which he can't seem to get running right carb-wise. What did you do with yours?

Have him check out the YahooYZ490 group! http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/yz490/
It is a very active vintage group, I still follow it and have many friends on the group. I think he will find help there. That is where I met my buddy Dave!
