The talk is, this site might change hands. Now would be the time to copy any information you think you might need. Info could be lost, kind of like the gallery. Don't know if we will ever see the old gallery. So fire up the printer.

I don't see anything happening soon other than the financial responsibility for the site! I heard from Paul and I will assume the financial responsibility for the site and the site will stay at the same hosting company! My buddy Dave will take over the site as far as technical problems and keeping the software up dated etc. He may be able to find the old Gallery and restore it!
I don't see anything changing except the Moderators and that is only because I have not seen either of the Moderators on the site on months! I also told Paul that at any time he changes his mind we will transfer the site back to him! We will all miss Paul and I hope he is well and safe!

Thanks Alan,
I would like to become a PBR Contributor but it will been around March before I could donate. I need to get my bike put back together, our new house will be completed next month and my wife will graduate from school next month. I hope Dave can fix the gallery. If he can't find the old gallery maybe he can set it to where any memeber can add and edit photo's. Thanks.

Alan,
I think the moderators have been busy on other things. I'm sure there are a few members who have enough background with the KX500 who would love to help out. We may have trouble getting someone with current info on models such as the KX250 and the KX250F. Cam.

Cam for moderator!!! I have alot of knowledge on the KX250's. Not the 250f's though, but I do on the CRF's. (piece of junk). :-)
-
Thanks for support Guys!
I don't want to make any major changes in the site! I do want to keep the software up to date which I could not do with my unofficial status as Administrator! I would like to expand the gallery into more sections. I do not have the technical expertise that Paul has on the KX500, I just own 2 of them! I am very commented to Kawasaki, since I own 5 of them!
My good friend Dave and I have been working on web sites together for the last 5 years and he will provide the software support and direct contact with the hosting company. Dave is a network engineer for an oil company and also one of my ridding buddies. Dave has created and maintains many other web sites including a Yamaha Dealer, Motocross track, Jeep off-road club and my ditchpickle.com site.
As far as the comments I made earlier in this post about Moderators, I would like to see more Moderators with areas of expertise in not only the 2 stokes, but also 4 strokes as well! I think it is to much to ask of any one person to provide technical assistance for all the various sections. So I would like to know who is interested in taking on the responsibility as Moderator for the various sections!
Also any decisions to make major changes in this site will be made through polls in a democrat fashion! I would like all suggestions to be made through the " I'm Listening Section" so we can keep track of them and everyone can have input!
This site belongs to all of the members!

Sounds like we shall have a positive result from this. Well done Alan.

Thanks Alan for all your hard work and taking on the responsibility. Keep us posted on the financial needs of this site.

I didn't mean this in a bad way. I just thought if there is a section someone goes back to all the time, they should make a hard copy just in case. Didn't mean to start any s*#t.

Danger, none taken!
I can tell you from my own experience that it is never a bad idea to copy important INFO that you find on forums! Yes it could get lost in some kind of an upgrade problem or server problem or you could get lost and forget which forum you found it on!

I keep a Word page to paste passages that I find to be spot on for problems or prevention of problems that I may encounter cause I have the particular problem Alan mentions. I'll find plenty of helpful stuff but forget where or even how I found it to begin with---A mind is a terrible thing to waste and I do it with regular abandon!!!
Thanks Alan!

Doordie gets my vote as a moderator in the KX500 and Favorite Mods sections. His level of knowledge on the KX500 is absolutely astounding.

Thx Paul ! :D
(I?m sure we have many Pitbull-users who can be a "moderator" with the same or better knowledge as me! )
-
I am with Paul on this as long as Doordie does not publish any pictures of his own...
