Title: Lower End Help Please.
Post by: hughes on January 03, 2006, 11:15:12 AM
I need ya'll help here just to make sure I don't screw somthing up. Clutch side the is a primary gear on the end of the crank shaft and there is the water pump gear installed in the end of the crank. I can't not get he nut loose that holds the primary gear on. My manuals says nothing about right hand or left hand threads. Any help..

I would use a air or electric impact diriver and make sure you know what the thread direction is!

When I worked in the oil field they would tell us to fix it till it's fixed, or fix it till it's broke. In the back of my mind I would think "that's easy to say when it's not your money".

In the oilfield they also believe in fixing (?) things with a 12# sledge hammer and the biggest stilson wrench they can find. Not recomended!!! I think it is refered to as the Come, Sh**, or Bleed method.
