Title: Suspension bearings
Post by: gwcrim on April 02, 2023, 03:08:11 AM
I put new suspension bearings in this week.  The ones in the swingarm went in as you'd expect.  However, when I put the inner sleeve/race into it, it's TIGHT.  It would not slide in by hand at all.  I wound up using a bit C clamp and driving it in.  It won't spin freely by hand.  I put a big bolt and nut through and it will spin but it's certainly beyond snug.

What's up with that?

Some of the after market companies who make this stuff dont make it to proper size , i seen it loose and tight i usually swap stuff around until it fits nicely , never had trouble with oem but make shore there no burrs sticking out where the bearings go as that can make things tighter as it can make the bearings change shape.
