I have an ongoing problem with the clutch plates sticking together
I know how to get them apart but was wondering if I used a lighter gear oil
if that would help?
I am using bel ray gear saver 80 wt
no racing, only trail riding
Thanks
Bill

Changing to a lighter oil might help , i used that oil before and it was ok but i would investigate the clutch pack for wear and warpage as well as the clutch basket for notches , replace if it has these faults.

I did replace everything except oil thinking that would fix it
still have the problem

Have you got alloy plates or steel plates between the friction plates , The steel plates work better , plus i like to drill a few more holes in the inner clutch basket for more oil on plates , this works on kx250 as well as some of them have a grabby clutch and need more oil in this area, smooth the action.
