Title: New fork springs wont slide over the spring guides?

Just got some .48 springs for my 93 500.  Rebuilt everything and springs wont go in  Race Tech FRSP 395148.  These are the only springs I can find.  Anybody experienced this?  Never happened to me before.

Sand the spring guides until they go through the springs smoothly.

Thanks, that had crossed my mind. Also can anybody tell me for sure what year this thing is?  JKAKXVE13NA007877

Everything I see had the number 12 instead of 13???
