Title: Can I put 17 KXF250 forks on a 99 kx250

I have a set of 2017 KXF 250 forks and Triples that a buddy of mine gave from from his bike that he parted out and I was wondering if I could put them on my 99 kx250.
I have found no info regarding this and would love any input or suggestions that you guys have regarding this.

I also have a 07 kxf250 and I read that I could swap the forks from my 07 to my 99 quite easily. But could I then put the 2017 forks on my 07 kxf if I used the 07 forks for my 99?

The 17 clamps will have less off set than 99 clamps , should make it turn better. Depends on what you are trying to achive with the 99 bike  the later fork will work better especially if you get it set up in the valving side of it and spring rate. i would do it and if you dont like it you can go back.
