Hi there,
My name is Dirk, I am a 46er and currently riding a 2011 KX 250 F. Which I am still in love with... And a little modified here and there.
And yesterday I bought my winter project, a KX 250 from 03.
Hope to get input for updating my two stroke.
I am also interested to build a AF conversion.
Cheers
Dirk

Welcome aboard Dirk.
Cool project.
I'm liking that '85 Honda...post some more pics of that too!

The Honda is not mine. This is a project from the former owner of the KX in front of.
He is also building a 500ccm engine into a 2019 FC 350 frame

There is a company in Spain called TX Race that makes a kit to install 2017-2019 KX250F plastic on your 2003-2008 KX. It’s a really low priced alternative to buying all factory parts. I installed one on my 03 KX250 - 88 KX500 conversion, and I was really impressed with the results. It comes with plastic, a seat, brackets to install everything, bolts, and a set of graphics all for about $330 plus shipping. I detailed my installation here:

I did some research and found the kit from spain. I did a plastic conversion for my KXF but to be honest... I like the original kit. Exept the front fender and number plate. But to change that is not a big deal.
But maybe my mindset will change 😏

I won’t tell him if you don’t. 😂😂. I appreciate the compliments recklessj. For the record, I like the stock look also. A couple of things I do like about the newer plastic is how much narrower the bike feels in the middle, and how much flatter the seat is.
