Title: Hello from Central Oklahoma
Post by: ssrlewis on February 03, 2019, 01:47:49 PM
Came across this sight shortly before buying a non-running 1996 KX125 and a 1989 KX125 in-a-box. I also have a 2015 KTM250SXF and 2014 KLX140L (sons).

I enjoy the articles and seeing the photos of the builds.

Hey Steve, welcome to the site. Danger4U2 and I are both from Oklahoma City.  It’s nice to have another Okie on here. Sounds like you have a couple of projects on your hands. Post some pictures if you get a chance. Here’s a guide to get you started: http://www.kxriders.com/forums/index.php/topic,17107.0.html (http://www.kxriders.com/forums/index.php/topic,17107.0.html)

Do either of you race the OSCS?  I’m out there in the over 50 class

Nah, I gave up on my racing dreams a long time ago.  Plus it keeps me from getting hurt, and then more hurt by Mrs. Umberto.   :-D  We're just trail riders now, and usually at a slower pace.

Well I’m living my dreams now seeing how I didn’t race when younger. I have take it easy though seeing how I live by myself. Would hate to snap a couple of wrist!  LOL

I’m glad you’re getting to live the dream. I actually considered it for a while, but that was before shoulder and back surgeries. Getting old is too fun.   :-D
