Title: Need pipe help for 01 kx500
Post by: StreetLegalSupermotoAF on November 24, 2018, 02:25:32 PM
I was wondering about what pipe may work for me. I think this post is in the wrong spot but did not see a better place to post. So backround of my riding conditions and bike specs. The bike is a street legal, aluminum frame conversion from an 06 kx250f. I ride mostly the back roads in a medium size city with moderate traffic where I feel comfortable enough to ride a widowmakerb in as it’s my home town. It has as of now an fmf gnarly low to middle pipe mated to pc factory sound silencer, also has vforce 3 reeds, forged aluminum piston, and a PWK carb that needs to be re-jetted anyway. My city is mostly straight with some sharp turns  and the immediate area is all New England farm area. As in sharp hairpins and sudden and very varied hills . Most my riding and driving is done on these roads b/c it’s a welcome change from the city.. But anyway I need an all around pipe all rev ranges to be able to handle all the rev ranges. I know it’s a 2 stroke it’s not supposed to be a road bike but this bike is a toy and not really reliable transportation. This is my weekend cruise and beat the he’ll out of toy. My cars my main transportation weekday car.

Hi StreeLegalSupermotoAF, welcome to the site.  Is your pipe the Service Honda Gnarly, or something you built?  If you built it, is it the CR version or a KX modded version.  If it is a KX Pipe, what does it say on the logo by the Gnarly?
