Hi does anybody on here know if a KX 500 1987 fit shock will work in a 1990 / 1991 KX 250 chassis? Thanks 👍🏼

Sounds like you already know :-D how much do you want for it then? I have an Ohlins for the 1990 250 already and will be refurbishing so be I could use the lower part from mine on it!

IF the lower fork fits/ overall length{eye to eye} would have to be the same/ 10mm on shock lenght equals 30mm ride height

Ok that is good to know thank you for that, I will message the seller and see if he can confirm the measurements for me 👍🏼

Does anybody know why Ohlins cut the edges off these shocks? I have seen two exactly the same but am pretty sure it would clear the air box if left alone!

Check the top left edges out on both of them!

The nitrogen bladder sit lower on the kx500{pre89250} The exhaust stinger runs above it not on the underside like your bike
Cant see that shock fitting your bike
