Title: New to the board and been off dirtbikes for 30 yrs!

Hello,

I found this forum thru a google search and joined up.  47yrs old and picked up a basket case of a KX250 I'm restoring/modifying for woods riding and maybe a little GNCC if things go well.  I already tore the bike down and am getting ready to send the frame, swing arm and a few other items out for powder.  It's a mess from top to bottom but the bones are in good shape so I'm gonna plow ahead with it.  Came with a new head and all.  Needs a bottom end though.  I enjoy taking something old and abused and making it new again as much as actually riding.

Not my first restoration.  I did a similar build on an 86 TRX250R a few years back.  Like a moron, I sold it in tougher times and wish I hadn't.  But now I have the KX and am looking forward to getting back on 2 wheels after so many years off.   Hoping to learn my way on here and contribute when I can.  Thanks

I just realized no one welcomed you to the forum. Welcome!  Keep us posted on your progress and post pictures when you get a chance.
