Title: Another big bore 2 stroke manufacturer
Post by: kawrider on October 05, 2018, 06:49:12 PM
This is also from canada, called brc. In another thread, there was a discussion of a big bore company. Perhaps some of you know about this 1. FYI The specs are in the description of the video..

That is such a neat concept. Make the engine fit a popular bike with no fabrication, and be able to use factory parts in a lot of areas. Plus they solve the exhaust for you. This is a no-brainer, although an expensive one.

They do mention Adam Millar as someone that helped them with the engine, so maybe this was the motor Sandblaster was talking about?

Lots of time and cash invested in that. Glad to see someone trying.

One a fella sees what it can do with a proper sized carb, might be worth laying out some cash for one

You have to think that sites likes ours and others that have helped to keep the big OEM two strokes alive, along with guys like Sean Collier riding the Beast and Groot in races, have inspired these guys to spend the money to build these motors.  I'm excited to see what the future holds for this motor (sounds like a guy in Australia is going to fuel inject it), and the 100 HP motor that GPX is going to bring to production.  The prices are very high, but maybe if KTM sees some success in the aftermarket they will be inspired to build a larger two stroke again.  I'd buy a 400 or 500 2T KTM or Husqvarna.

I can't wait to see a few of these get out in the field in the different types of rides they will outfit. I personally need a good dune bike and i can see this powerplant being a nice fit for that. Also a head to head shootout between this motor against that other company panthera motorsports. Is there enough demand for 2 companies  :?

Roostius posted a dyno chart of this motor on his Instagram.  The motor made 66.5 hp versus the stock 300's 48.34.  It signed off much sooner than the 300, but the power down low was impressive.
