So I just got my 2001 KX500 and it doesn't run quite right. I haven't even spent enough time on it to describe the issues but I knew it had to be jetted because I was told it was "jetted for colorado" and I'm in mesa AZ.
I figured I would reset and go right to stock (maybe a little lean since its hot out) but the needle is throwing me off a bit here. Does anyone know how the subject needles compare? I have the N89D installed with the clip on the 1st/bottom position. Is this richer or leaner than the stock N82M?
Thanks Ken

N82M is stock, N89D is richer...
Team Green used the D needle a lot and it will definitely fatten up your mid range.
What altitude do your ride at?

Ok that's what I thought.
I ride a couple hundred feet above sea level (glamis) to ~1500 ft in the Phoenix area. I may go up north 5000+
Thanks!
