I’m building a KX500AF from a 06 kx450f chassis. I’m wondering what radiators work best on these bikes? Do they have to be custom made? Thanks for any help.

I think most people use the KXF radiators. FL_Sharpshooter did a really nice KXF build, and he included a diagram on how he did his radiators. I fixed the picture links, so you should be able to scroll through and find it.

Thanks for the compliment! If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably just use two fill side radiators, pretty much like how service honda does (or should I say did?) do it. It would clear the y piece a little easier and it would be simple enough to weld the fill hole and relocate the bracket to the other side. I didn't end up keeping my kx500af. I got a 17 husqvarna te300 now. Easiest way to go to get an electric start and a street plated bike. We did build a cr500af (based on an 03 cr250 chassis) though, it was built for my dad. He has a lot more $ than me :-D.
