Title: Carson Brown's modded 2005 KX125
Post by: SuperWes on December 26, 2017, 06:14:52 AM
I just ran across this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVAtN4khV7M on Youtube. Carson Brown used a 2017 KX250f airbox to the "05 air boot, newer Showa forks, and other mods. I recently bought a 2005 KX125 and thought about using some newer KX250f forks on it. Has anyone here tried that?

why bother , get the std revalved or throw a gold valve in them , get the right springs for your weight and ride it, put the money on a good port job and get the combustion chamber machined to suit , here in australia i use tsp he will even fuel inject it if you have money to spare , he did a yz125 recentily with good results.

Fuel injection would be nice. I've owned two Jet-Skis with the same size two-stroke engines, the '97 was carbureted, the 2001 was direct injected. The direct injection was much cleaner and pulled up skiers a lot easier and smoother.
The '05 KX I have is currently a project bike. I'll probably get the forks revalved and resprung. I just seen some '09-'12 KX250f forks for around $700-$800 and thought I read somewhere that those forks would work.
