Awesome. Let us know how the auto clutch works.

Check out the TSR Products billet 2 piece clutch housing they are perfect for kx500 engine conversions as well as stock steel frame kx500's . There is two kit options 1st option is for the water outlet to be moved to the rear of cylinder to help clear exhaust pipe on engine conversions kit comes with new weld on water inlet fitting an hose 2nd option is for the stock water inlet port for the steel frames no mods needed an is a direct fit on stock kx500's they also come with a boyesen water pump kit that flows a lot more then any kx500 water pump

Yes, I saw those. They are very nice pieces! They are just too blingy for my bike, and the cost would have tripled.
-
Yeah and the price isn't bad considering it comes with the clutch cover and boyesen water pump plus USD to Australian dollar conversion
-
you can get the cover coated if you don't like the bling bling :-D

That's good to know!...what is the actual coating and color?
-
They come with no coating just bare alloy so you can put pretty much any type of coating or paint you want on them

Hahaaaa!

There is really no big secret.
Get some 1/4" plate and trace out a KX450F clutch cover.
Cut it out and drill the holes.
Then trace out the inner clutch cover (After you have machined it to size) Then cut it out.
Weld it, machine it flat, tap the holes, mount and ride.

Thanks again to Alward25 for my 2 piece clutch cover, after replacing all bearings and seals, and all new water pump components I got my clutch back from efm. Let me start by saying it is the best money I ever spent. With me being a VERY novice rider, it works phenomenal!! I rode yesterday and in the woods in the tight stuff or up slippery heels I just held on to the bars and worked the throttle. I did not have to stay on the clutch all the time. It made it a lot more enjoyable to ride. Its nice not having to worry about pulling in the clutch or choking it down. Now I just hold on to the bars and let her eat !!!!! Thanks again for all the great advice on this site !!!

That may be my favorite mod I've done to any of my bikes ever. The clutch pull so light you can use one pinkie (if you even need to use it), and it just hooks up and goes and never stalls. I love mine.

Not a KX but I just sent my VStrom 1000 clutch in to EFM to be done. Pretty excited about it!

For a auto clutch?
If so that's interesting...
-
They do say on their website, "Bottom line: Faster application and MORE POWER for ANY BIKE!" I can't wait to ride mine again. They finally opened the riding area at Lake Draper again, so hopefully that will be next weekend.

I have two friends that have the efm auto clutch in their harley's and they love it. Makes riding in heavy traffic and big groups alot more enjoyable.

Yes. of my four bikes with clutches the '12 Strom has the stiffest clutch. It is hydraulic too! The arthritis in my hands is getting to where I could not sit in traffic with it for any length of time. Either sell the bike or put the auto clutch in it. Should be around $700-$800. We shall see!
