Title: Fresh kx250 Rebuild Won't Start

Hello guys. Tried starting my rebuilt 1990 kx250. Was getting some smoke out of pipe, and then got a HUGE backfire and then was getting nothing. Sounded like it wanted to start but couldnt. Plug kinda smelled like fuel, and wasn't totally wet. Any ideas? Thanks.
