Brakes:
Front Brake rotor 41080-1365 - There are a lot of good aftermarket options including some oversize rotors that I really like.
The rear is still available last I checked but it is junk. Replace with just about any aftermarket rotor.. I like EBC and Galfer.
Carburetor:
Top chamber cap 16005-1068 - watch eBay :-)
Chassis:
Main frame.. eBay
Muffler baffle 49099-1285 - get a new muffler... There are several available or make a new one from a KX250F muffler :D
Seat - all styles: eBay or go to Guts Racing for new.
Side panels COVER-SIDE,RH.P.WHITE 36001-1419-6F - eBay or there are a few aftermarket available

Petcock valve 51023-1115 - eBay or find a pingle.
Gas Tank 51082-5154-6W - eBay or there are few companies that sell new, Clarke MFG, or IMS.
Front Fork Spring 44026-1620, K=0.4 97-04 KX500
Electrical
Spark Plug Cap 21130-1006 - Get a NGK... they are better then stock.
Engine:
Crankcase set 14001-5258 - These can be repaired in many instances - or watch eBay
JT Engine Works can do many repairs and also offers case lapping.
KX Guru Racing is also working on some billet cases :-o Don't ask, it will be a while and they will be outrageously expensive :-o
Crankshaft Right side 13037-1359 - You can still buy the whole crank. Depending on what is wrong many issues can be fixed.
JT Engine Works can do many repairs including full rebuilds, balancing, polishing, and building up undersized journals.
Kick idler gear - 59051-1150

JT Engine Works can repair yours as long as the teeth are good.
Kick Start RATCHET 13078-007 - These can be hand worked to bring them back to life. Not as good as new but better then nothing.
Rear sprocket 42041-1154 - plenty of aftermarket alternatives.
Shift forks 2ND & 3RD 13140-1058 - JT Engine Works and I are working on a repair method. We think we have it but will know more later this week.
KX Guru Racing is also working on making new billet forks but it may be a while before we get them done.

Transmission gears can be undercut or hard rod welded, and the pressed in bushings can be replaced as long as the teeth are good.

Suspension:
Fork Set 44070-1551-14 - There are still a lot of new parts available but no complete fork sets - eBay or consider upgrading your suspension to the KX450F forks.

Swingarm 33001-1496-TX - eBay or repair
JT Engine Works can fix most issues.
Upper triple clamp 44039-1295 - eBay or there is several after market sources available.
UNI TRAK ARM SUSP 39007-1186 - eBay or many of these can be rebuilt depending on the issue.

You can 44026-1620 SPRING-FRONT FORK,K=0.4 to that list. They are still listed on parts websites but actually are no longer available not even from Japan. These were the standard fork spring found in

It is good that the aftermarket is supplying springs still. There is one issue though. The aftermarket from what I have found picks up where OEM left off as far as spring rates go. OEM covered .39, .40 and .41. Now only stiffer then OEM, .42 and higher are available from the aftermarket. That's fine for heavier riders but lighter weight riders or persons that simply want to run stock are left hanging. This also effects the KX125 and KX250 riders with the 46mm forks from the late 1990s/early 2000s as they ran the same springs.
We can also add 44026-1623 .39 OEM springs to the list of unavailable parts too I believe. I tried ordering a set when I posted above over a month ago. They ended up in back order purgatory as well. I finally gave up on finding a new set and cancelled the order. It sucks because my KX500 has the .41 and the ride height is too stiff and high for me. Guess I will have to try and find a used set.

Any progress out there on shift forks? Could use a set. Got my motor split right now

DONT for get about kx500 tech in the uk them guys make all the gears including shift forks as well as a new improved kickstart gears plus other stuff , check em out.
