Title: Help with front brake conversion to Honda routing on a 96 KX 500 with 46mm KYB's
Post by: Teamcraig on May 15, 2017, 01:31:07 AM
Not sure what all fork guard options I have that bolt on my KYB's with the Honda style hose clamp mount? Will the guards from a Honda the years they used KYB forks bolt onto my 46mm KYB's? Thank you for the help guys... Craig

On my bike I used 2008 RM 250 fork guards, and a 2004 KX250 brake line.  My forks are 46 mm kit forks from Pro Circuit, but I believe the bolt pattern is the same for any of the under the lug brake line forks.  Here's a recap of the project:

Thank you for the replay Umberto, now I at least have an option to get rid of the mush brake. I remember back in the day I made an aluminum mount and pop riveted to my stock guard and than cut the upper guide loop off. Was hoping I would not have to go that route.

I am still curious if those years Honda used KYB's if there protectors would bolt up.
