Title: Motorcycle carrier
Post by: Jerry Kimm on April 10, 2017, 12:10:51 AM
I bought a used motorcycle carrier that holds my kx250. It mounts in the receiver on my 98 grand cherokee, the main tube that goes into the receiver is 2 inch steel  square tubing and the ramp and track is made of extruded aluminum. I only paid 75 bucks for it and it works excellent. It's easy to load and unload, and mounts on the garage wall with a big hook I screwed into a wall stud, so it's out of the way. I didn't really have the room for a trailer because I live in a condo, so this was a great option for me.

Got some pics? Looking to get one of these carriers for the KX250 onto the jeep. Just needing to finish the new wheels and Mickey Thompson tires (http://4wheelonline.com/Mickey_Thompson_Tires.1724) on the current truck project before I can work on the bike and the mount. How's yours holding?

I  bought the 2 bike carrier off ebay for $120 a few years ago. holds up fine.

if your suspension on your SUV is soft you may need a cheap pair of air shocks on the rear. My 1999 escalade (aka my 1/2 ton pos chevy work truck) sags and points the headlights up a little high
