Trying to plate my kx5. Need the cheapest DOT lines I can find. The local shop that is going to "OK" the bike said the lines are sometimes stamped with a DOT on them.
Any help would be great.
thanks

I did not know that was a requirement for Washington.

the stock hoses should be anyway

Thanks. I would think they would be fine. I saw nothing on this page about it

They were trying to get me to let them put a street kit on the bike for me. For a (ridiculous) small fee. They said they will throw in the brake lines for me. I'll probably go somewhere else for the inspection ;)

Bringing this back up hoping for some help...
I don't have my bike at home with me (2004kx500)
Can anyone tell me if the stock brake lines have a DOT mark on them? I looked real quick the other day and didn't see them but most the line is covered by plastic that I didn't tear back...
If I do need to buy some DOT ones has anyone has purchased some? what are the lengths for the front or back or which ones did you buy?
Thanks

In case anybody is interested. I believe I had stocked kx500 brake lines on my 2004. They were not DOT rated. Galfer makes brake lines that are all Federal Highway standard comply able and I was able to pick up a CR Style front brake and rear brake line for $110 hundred and twenty shipped from galfer online. Didn't do a ton of searching but this was the cheapest I could find and seems like a pretty good upgrade. I'll update for there when I install the brake lines
