Title: Kx125 2004 bogging
Post by: GRARA on January 16, 2017, 10:38:46 PM
Hi looking for some help on my sons 2004 Kx125...bike runs/starts fine until it heats up and give it full throttle off the line... It bogs badly but if u ping the clutch it takes off then rides as it should.....it's had a recent top end so all is good piston/rings/new plug...new reeds..I've had the carb off stripped down, blown out with air ( about 10 times now) ...I removed the stator cover as it's cracked and found the stator to be rusty... So I removed it and cleaned it as best as I could....could a faulty stator cause bog?

I had the same issue with my 04' 125 when I bought it.  I cleaned out the carb the same as you thinking it was the issue.  I finally broke down and rebuilt the carb with all new jets, gaskets etc and it solved the issue.  When looking at the old jets in a magnifying glass compared to the new ones I could see that even though I thought I got them cleaned out they still werent as clear as the new one.  The corrosion was so hard it wouldnt come out.
