Title: KX500 Barrels & Intake boots

Trying to understand whether Kawasaki re-invented itself each year. The reason I asked I would like to know what intake & reed was used on the 87 and any other years. When if ever did they change reed block size opening in the barrel & changed the boot size/ Has anybody compiled a list of changes year to year

Up to 85 had the 4 bolt style boot intake and from there they went 6 bolt.
I have made an adapter to take the later boot and carb for my 85 KX5 so I could still have Good access to parts.
