Title: 1998 KX 250 kinda frankenstein?
Post by: klord on November 04, 2016, 01:42:22 AM
I have 2 questions. 1. I ordered a front master cylinder rebuild kit for it.  It appears I have a pre 98 master cylinder. It doesn't have the threaded rod coming out.  Can I put the 98 internals in it and change the lever? 2. The rear brake pedal is held on with a nut and bolt that does not look factory.  According to the manual the frame is supposed to have a threaded bung and use a special bolt with 2 seals?  Any suggestions?

depends what size the bore of the master cylinder is weather it is the same as the stock unit? it should have a number on front of the cylinder like 3/4 or 11 from memory. Those are the Sizes of seals you will need to rekit that cylinder. My 98 kx250 came with a master cylinder that i later found out was off a wr250 :/.
