Title: clutch grabbing
Post by: jeffro351 on October 25, 2016, 02:52:14 AM
I need a little help, I have a 04 kx250f frame with a 96 kx500 motor. I love the bike!! The bike runs fine with no clutch slippage, but I have noticed that with the bike in gear and the clutch pulled in if I rev the motor the clutch tries to grab a little! Does this sound like a adjustment issue or a clutch problem. I am probably gonna go ahead and put in new clutch plates and springs, because I will never get rid of this bike. I do not really ride hard. Any help would be appreciated.  THANKS

There are a lot of things that can cause this.
Worn cable, out of adjustment, worn components, sticky plates, the wrong oil, and many other things.
The best thing is when you open it up, get out your service manual and check everything carefully.
Replace what is bad, adjust the cable, pour in some good oil, and go ride it.
