I have a 04 kx250f frame with a 96 kx500 motor, The current shift lever has been hacked up and I was wondering if there was a oem shift lever that would work in this application??
ps I am a noob, sorry!

Welcome to the site jeffro! No need to apologize, we were all new here at one time. On my 03 conversion, I used a 2004 KX500 shifter shaft, and a kx450f shifter. I'm not sure if the kx250f frame and the kx250 frame are different though. Can you post a pic of your shifter? Here's a handy guide on how to post using photobucket.

Use a 94 or newer shift shaft... and a KX450F shift lever... any year... It will fit the 250f no problem.
I like the hammerhead shift levers because they come up to 20mm longer then stock and I can actually get my toe under it :-o

should i order the brake lever for a kx450 also??

You can but a easier conversion is the 250f rear brake lever

Is the 10mm hammerhead lever any longer than the 94 k5 stock lever? Rocky mountain only has the 10mm
