Looks SWEET!!!!!

Nice looking bike, you wont have any problem spoting your
bike at a K5 convention. I like the rims and hubs.
-
Looks awesome! I like the graphics. Go with an all black seat.
-
Nice job!

You seem to have avoided the anti aircraft rear fender look that some 250 rear fenders are afflicted with.
Did you use the usual 93 rear fender/mudguard?
Looks good :)

Cheerz Dudes. The stupid Talon [hubs] importers here FCUKed up the rear hub. Sent a KXF pair. According to them they are the same as KX500.... Wrong.... To start with the front spacers are too wide to fit between the forks. So had to send the wheel to the North Island to get the spacers turned down to the right width. Then the rear hub only had 4 holes on wich to mount the rear disk onto. As all you keen Kx5 pilots will know by now, all Kx5s have 6 holes. The guy at the importers [wich happens to be owned by none other than Shane King!] told me that "Its all cool chap. I'll just get you a 4 bolt disk to fit on.. No worries mate" Yeah Right! The disk turned up on the counter Friday afty. Took 1 look at it and said to Johno [The King of Bling] that aint gonna fit dude. Sure enough. 24 mm bigger in diameter.
Soooo thats what you see in the pic. No rear disk. Contrary to popular belief there is a gear stick tho. Cigars all round!!!!!!
Hey Demo cheerz there chap. I like the rear guard having the straight look. Its all in the trimming. Like dont take too much off.

D R O O O O O O O L......... man that looks awesome! The silver frame was a great choice... really blends in with the look of the whole bike and looks super clean.

I have to admit that really does look fine! Nice Work! And I have never liked black!
Great Job!!

Thanx there Guys! Still waiting for the rear hub to come..... The importer said that he was gonna get it for me soon as. Then after a week of waiting he says that its on back order from Europe! Reckoned that the frieght to fly it out from Australia was gonna cost more than the hub was worth! ...... Yeah right. Good on ya mate, Tosser!
Thinking I might get some Excell rims for the standard hubs and get back to the track. What size front/ rear width 17 inch would I use>? 2.5 front 4.5 rear or something similar? Any ideas you motard fans?? Tim.

I`m using 3,5" front and 4,5" rear. WRP Racing wheels, with Husquarna hubs. Had to get new bearings, since the axles are different.
Excelent!

I am not sure, I am guessing 92ish by the frame, forgive me, I am not too savvy on my identification yet.

Hello I have recently purchased a Kx 500 and am keen to change the rear mudguard from the ridiculous setup now on the bike, to something a little better, I have heard of other people using a 93 kx250 rear fender or a 00 Kx250 one, can someone please tell me the best option and how to carry out the mods to fit the new fender, and if possible set up photos to show how it is done,
-
there is a write up somehwere on this site for the 93 kx250 fender mod.
heres the link:

Also I'm not sure if your interested. But you can also get an even newer kx250 fender to work. I believe its a 99 fender? In my opinion it fits the bike a lot better as it is longer and doesn't shoot up into the air as much. But both fenders look better than the droopy stock fender.
