Title: 98 kx250 oversize tank?

I have a 98 kx250 with kx500 engine and I need a bigger gas tank. I want to run factory shrouds. Anybody have recommendations on brand and size? Thanks

as far as I remember, the IMS tanks allow you to use the stock shrouds...try contacting IMS, and see what they say...

Thanks Foxx I will give them a call. I finally found a set of good cases so I can get it back together. I have really missed this bike. If anyone has or had a 98 kx250 with an oversize tank could you post pictures? All the ads I see say not actual photo and I know they made some pretty uncomfortable tanks back then. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken those use the IMS shrouds? I'm hoping to use the factory shrouds. The one without photo available on IMS website I believe uses factory but you have to cut the top of shrouds where they wrap over tank.

I'm pretty sure the middle pic, with the green tank...are Kawie shrouds.

I've also read 99-02 tank will fit but shroud tab would be removed from frame? I want to run 98 shrouds not the newer 99-02. Does anyone know if 94-98 shrouds will fit 99-02 bike? Thanks for any help

that one may be a different brand too....if not IMS, possibly a Clarke, I'm not sure.

Bottom one showed up this time. Thanks. WOW that's an ugly tank. I may look into making 99-02 tank work.
