Title: New member from 40 miles west of Chicago
Post by: bigunclet1 on July 07, 2016, 02:36:52 AM
Hello!
I am an exited Mechanical Fabricator from Chicago's far northwest suburbs.  I like to spend time with my family,  drinking beer, and tinkering with anything that has an engine,  not always successfully though.  I've been riding off and on for about fifteen years.  I still have my 1997 Honda XR650l with various budget mods, which I've had since I was 20.  I am happy to say I just purchased a 1992 KX 250 this past weekend.  (my first two stroke!)  She ain't the prettiest but she likes to boogie!  I'm waiting on a few parts from the dealer and I'll be rippin her soon.
Thanks!
Tim

 Hi Tim,
I'm 50 miles northwest of you, just north of Rockford.
Do you ride any dualsport events with that thumper?

Larry

Hello Larry,
Ahh cool...  So you know Rocky Glen...  I have not ridden any formal events.  My friends and I like terrorizing the woods the best we can.  We get out 5-6 times a year.  I'm kind of interested in checking out hare scramble or something like that.  I'd probably get smoked being that I'm an amateur and not in the best shape.  Sounds like a lot of fun though.
