Title: Kx65 2000 model forks

Trying to rebuild my sons 2000 model kx65 forks, I can not seem to remove the stanchions, I have removed the top nut, then the springs, I've removed the bottom bolt and fork dust covers but still can not seem to get the stachions out, has anyone got any info on how to do so.

under the dust seal there a wire circlip , take that out and pull apart.
