Title: KX 85 Crankshaft
Post by: Bidule on May 24, 2016, 01:15:48 PM
Hi guys

How many man hours does it takes to replace a KX85 crankshaft once the engine is removed and on the workbench ?
I called my Kawasaki dealer today and he told me 5-6 hours ?  It this really that long ? Seems a bit excessive to me.

I never did that job before, not sure if i should just buy the case splitter and give it a shot.   :?

We spend that many hours or more just getting the aluminum ready for a rebuild.

Makes you wonder what they leave behind on their builds..
