Can someone tell me the fork diameter (at triple tree clamp area) for the '92-'96 and/or '97-'04 KX 500? Thanks!

I could tell you but it is so much easier for you to go look yourself

Scroll way to the right.... and look under FORKS

Yeah, I found that site on here already but wasn't sure about the measurements. It lists the fork seals for '92-'96 as 43 x55 mm, and '97-'04 as 46x58 mm. Does this mean the OD of the forks at the triple clamp area is 55 and 58 mm respectively?

Take a look again.
You will see UPPER.... then LOWER...
Note the measurements that follow.
UPPER 51.9MM - LOWER 56.6MM
UPPER 53.8MM - LOWER 58.9MM

Ahhh, excellent! Thank you! Probably blasphemy here, but I'm trying to find KX 500 trees to hold '04 KXF 250 forks. My calipers aren't long enough to get real accurate measurements of the KXF forks, but the numbers I came up with were 55mm (upper) and 59mm (lower). That seems real close to the 53.8 and 58.9 KX 500 trees. I suspect they may use the same forks. So it looks like my KXF forks may fit '97-'04 KX 500 trees. Thanks again!
Update -- Found the KXF 250 section of oem-cycle ID and, though it doesn't list the '04 diameters, it lists the '05 and it uses the same seals so probably the same fork. The dimensions listed for '05 are: 55.92 and 59.1... so evidently NOT the same fork as used on the late model KX 500s. Anyone know if these measurements are close enough to work?
